LaLa

What of this eternity do you not want
Yearn for life made perfect
Without ceasing our praise grows louder
Triumphant now, we fall to our knees
Words can't describe this satisfaction
Faith before our eyes
I can't deny this, my heart longs for it
Desires this world can't comprehend

You'll come out of no where..

..and into my life. (I just haven't met you yet)

No. No. No.

So many times I find myself, along with other females falling into the disgusting Cinderella story we're fed since practically birth. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, along with every other fairy tale princess is not what any girl should ever aspire to be. Especially when it comes to falling for "Prince Charming".

He doesn't exist.

In turn, we set ourselves up for the ultimate fail. We ladies binge on Lifetime movies and magazines and romance novels that fill our heads with this idea that we will be swept off our feet, and live happily ever after. Well, I hate to burst this precious little bubble, but those movies and books are no better than to be called female porn. Scary right? But think about it. Granted the books and movies may be rated PG, but it's filling our minds with the "ultimate" man, a desire that leaves us wanting more. Unfortunately, we can only find him in those books and movies, then we face reality..or avoid it (but really, you're not Isolde and Tristan is not your lover). If you're a girl, I know you have said, "HE'S out there, somewhere. I just know it". Say it no more! Turn off Lifetime, burn your romance books and hit your knees and open the Bible.
Hmm..What's the relevance? For starters, if you read Proverbs 7 and throughout any part think that sounds like you, read Proverbs 31 and desire to be like that woman in everything you say and do. As a follower of Christ, I know that because I am set apart, I can trust that the Lord has someone set apart for me and I never have to settle. And that His arms will ultimately be longer than any other source of comfort or happiness, even when he reveals my husband to me. Satisfaction does not lie in finding a man just like the ones in my favorite chick flicks. That satisfaction will only leave us empty and continuously searching. When you feel like you are never going to find true love, tell yourself you already have it. The Lord's love is so stinkin jealous for us, run to Him! Be satisfied in His never ending comfort when it seems like every flipping girl you know is engaged or celebrating their 2 years anniversary with their boyfriend. The Lord's love is more perfect and amazing than any romance novel or Lifetime tear jerker could ever portray. The movie will end, His love won't.
